Having just completed an "angel weapons only" Alfheim in Bayo 1, I lament that they didn't bring back enemy weapons in 3. At first picking up enemy weapons seems a little gimmicky, but they get more interesting as you learn how to use them best before their durability breaks. Even though a lot of the Homunculi designs are based on critters that can't hold weapons, it would have been interesting to see how the developers could make it work (Asperatus dropping a beast horn that Bayo can use for an OP charge attack? Pannus dropping a multi-flailed whip that shoots zygotes?).
From a ~games vibe~ perspective, the enemy/environmental weapons feature added to the scrappy and playful feel of the first 2 games. Lamp posts, giant demonic gears, and angelic trumpets? Bayo can use *any* weapon - or turn anything into a weapon - which emphasizes her skill, resourcefulness, and penchant for mischief.
*Most* importantly it would have felt really good to hit Stratus and Nebulosus with their own weapons, lol.
What are your thoughts on how they could've worked this into the game? What are your ideas for Homunculi weapons?
